आजादी  से पहले

ओर आज़ादी के बाद का 

द्वन्द  वर्तमान का 

भगत सिंह कहता था 

खेत में बन्दूक उगाऊंगा 

पंकज त्रिपाठी कहते है अब 

माँ मैं नोट उगाऊंगा  

यकीनन इकॉनमी नोटो से चलती है 

उगाने भी चाहिए देश हित में 

पर पता नहीं क्यों लगता है मुझे 

नोट के साथ बन्दूक भी उगानी चाहिए 

हम आज़ाद होकर भी   ग़ुलाम क्यों है अभी 

लगता है बन्दूक कभी भी उठानी पड़ सकती है

Allama replied:  Ishq

Phir poocha: Ishq ki inteha kiya hey?

Dr. Iqbal replied: Ishq La-Inteha hey

Phir poocha: Magar aap ne likha hey “Teray ishq ki inteha chahta hoon”

Dr. Iqbal replied to this : 

Tou doosray misray mein apni ghalti ka aiteraf kiya hey “Meri saadgi dekh kiya chahta hoon”.

दूबIरा इश्क़ करना

एक और ख़ता

और इश्क़ न करना

सबसे बड़ी ख़ता

चेहरा सच बताता है क्या

सोचता  हूँ मैं और सोचता ही रहता हूँ 

पहला चेहरा माँ का 

क्या कभी बताया उसने की  भर पेट निवाला खाया उसने 

दूसरा चेहरा शिक्षक  का 

उसने कभी बताया क्या की आज कौन सी सज़ा मिलेगी 

तीसरा चेहरा दोस्त का 

उसने कभी  बताया , क्या शरारत सूझी उसको 

 इसी  तरह कई ओर  चेहरे 

रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी से 

क्या कभी सच बोलेंगे 

सोचता  हूँ मैं और सोचता ही रहता हूँ

कहते हैं खुदा ने इंसान को खुद का अक्स ही बनाया है 

उसका चेहरा क्या मैं पड़ पाऊंगा

 

अगर वो सामने आ जाये 

सोचता  हूँ मैं और सोचता ही रहता हूँ

हाँ एक चेहरा पिछले दिनों मैं पढ़ पाया 

पता नहीं कैसे मैं खुद हैरान हूँ 

जब मेरी माँ ने आखरी समय हॉस्पिटल के Bed पर कहा

 

बेटा ध्यान रखना मैं अब चलती हूँ 

 वोह आंखे बोली ,  हाँ  वोह चेहरा बोला 

सोचता  हूँ मैं , क्या चेहरे  ऐसे ही बोलते है 

सो नहीं पाया हूँ तब से मैं 

सोचता हूँ अब , चेहरे ना ही  बोले तो अच्छा है

Before studying the parallels between modern physics and Eastern mysticism, we have to deal with the question of how we can make any comparison at all between an exact science, expressed in the highly sophisticated language of modern mathematics, and spiritual disciplines which are mainly based on meditation and insist on the fact that their insights cannot be communicated verbally. 

What we want to compare are the statements made by scientists and Eastern mystics about their knowledge of the world. To establish the proper framework for this comparison, we must firstly ask ourselves what kind of 'knowledge' we are talking about; does the Buddhist monk from Angkor Wat or Kyoto mean the same thing by 'knowledge' as the physicist from Oxford or Berkeley? Secondly, what kind of statements are we going to compare? What are we going to select from the experimental data, equations and theories on the one side, and from the religious scriptures, ancient myths, or philosophical treatises on the other? This chapter is intended to clarify these two points: the nature of the knowledge involved and the language in which this knowledge is expressed.

Translation

You’ve taken away my looks, my identity, by just a glance.

By making me drink the wine of love-potion,

You’ve intoxicated me by just a glance;

My fair, delicate wrists with green bangles in them,

 बिगाड़े  का  ना - चीज़  कम  तर  बशर  क्या 

  गरीबो   के  अश्रु -बिंदु  पर  जो  तुम  न   रूठो 

   तो  कर  ले  लेगा  सारा  जहाँ  रूठ   कर  क्या  !

ज़ुल्मत  को  घटा  कहने  से  खतरा  नहीं   जाता 

दीवार    से    भूचाल   को   रोका    नहीं     जाता 

     जात ओ   के    तराजू   में    अजमत   नहीं    तुलती 

     फीते  से   तो     किरदार    को    नापा    नहीं     जाता 

दरया   के    किनारे    तो   पहुँच    जाते     हैं  प्यासे 

प्यासों   के   घर   को    कभी   दरया   नहीं   जाता  

वापिस   नहीं   होना   हैं   तो   पांव   ही   कटा    दो

इस   मोड़  से   आगे   कोई   रास्ता    नहीं   जाता   

अल्लाह   जिसे   चाहे   उसे   देता   है    सब    कुछ  

   इज्ज़त   को    दुकानों    से   खरीदा   नहीं    जाता   !
